It has been dubbed “Necrobestial Pudding” for it’s continuous exploration of sex with corpses, sex with donkeys, and sex with gelatinous masses of chocolate, creamy goodness. PS: Derek, Curtis, Curtis’ wife, Sandi, and I were living in apartment 27 of the Charles Apartments during this recording, hence the reference to “our living room.” While Sandi and Curtis were staying here for a week before their move to Vancouver, Derek will stay as my new roommate. The Brookhaven Chronicles and Zero Sum Cosmos will be sharing office/living/recording/eating/shitting space for the foreseeable future. It should be interesting.

Smoking Is Good For You

April 27, 2007 on 9:57 pm | In Shownotes, Videos, Essays | 3 Comments

This video is taken from the first recording session of the Zero Sum Cosmos Podcast, with Curtis Seaver of That’s Our Curtis Videocast and Dan Patterson from the Creepy Sleepy Podcast behind his cell phone camera. (To be accurate, this is the second recording session. The first was lost because of my own ineptitude. I will make my amends through the cycle of karma.) The first episode of the ZSC Podcast will be ready sometime next week.
After failing at my attempt to blow smoke out of my eyesockets or ears, I decided to look for videos of successful attempts. I found some very interesting, illustrative videos.

This first one has nothing to do with eye- or ear-smoking. I just thought it was a cute video about anti-smoking legislation.

Here are examples of ear-smoking:

Here is one of the greatest goddamn things I’ve ever seen. It makes what I was attempting look even more ridiculous than it already is.

And then, there’s this gentleman:

I first began smoking when I was twelve. Why? Because it was cool, and I was cool, so I had to smoke whatever my friends gave me to keep my coolness intact. I quit after we moved away from my friends. I didn’t start again until I was eighteen. Why? Because I was bored, and I could actually buy them, which made me even cooler than I was at twelve. I have been smoking ever since. Why?
I love the feeling of my lungs burning. When I inhale, I try to get it all the way down to the healthiest bronchiole and shit all over that pink little bitch. As self-destruction goes, smoking might be the safest form of it. (Yes, you may remind me of this post when I’m hocking up gray butter for twenty minutes, just to light another match off of my oxygen tank valve. I will certainly not be the last smoker on earth, but I’ll probably be bumming smokes from him.)
The last video reminds me of self-destruction within limits. However, it could also be taken as an anti-smoking video. The text on the screen might read, “Hey! You might as well be choking yourself with a belt for all the good those damn cigarettes are doing you.” But I’d try choking myself with a belt for the same reason that I tried blowing smoke out of my eyeballs: it’s good to experience new things.
