A Creepy Sleepy Pipe: SlateV’s Damned Spot

SlateV is an interesting foray into video podcasting by political magazine Slate. SlaveV, edited by former (and sorely-missed) Slate podcast host Andy Bowers, resembles the left-leaning Slate text edition in both style and wit. Commentary on the ‘Simpsons’ relationship with environmentalism, and animated Bushisms is typically thoughtful and funny, regardless of one’s political affiliation.

SlateV also analyzes various campaign ads, stopping to describe certain marketing techniques found in each ad. Here’s example:

So, as someone with a vested interest in both the Presidential campaign, as well as the Media’s response, I threw together a short Pipe - or channel - of the Damned Spot campaign ad segment. I’m still bumbling my way through Pipes, so this is certainly NOT a very complicated channel. However, hopefully it’ll help deliver some interesting insight on the media’s role in the Horse Race.

Here’s the RSS feed for SlateV’s Damned Spot.
