Creepy Sleepy Show #101 - Iraq War Panel Discussion
Creepy Sleepy Show #101 - Iraq War Panel Discussion
On March 15th, Dan spoke on a panel with Dr. Ahrar Ahmad and Dr. Tim Steckline at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Iraq War.
The panel was presented by the BHSU Campus Democrats in concert with an anti-war demonstration and march that took place on March 17th.
Amongst the topics of discussion:
- Is this a war based on faulty intelligence, or faulty wisdom?
- Can we pursue a moral objective through an immoral means?
- What is victory?
- Is Democracy the answer?
- How do we deal with a cynical citizenry at home?
- What will Iraq War (vs. Vietnam War) syndrome look like?
- Is the media responsible for deception? Are we complicit?
Creepy Sleepy Show #102 will be released on Tuesday, March 20th - the war anniversary - and be comprised of audio from the protest. I’ll also post some video, and you can find pictures of the protest on Creepy Sleepy’s flickr.
