Firefox 1.5

It’s snowing in Spearfish. What better weather for playing with the new Firefox? 1.5 is now out of beta testing, and available for the public. I’ll check back in this afternoon, after I have a chance to play with my new toy.
Times Online:“Firefox 1.5, which is available as a free download from www.Mozilla.com, [...]

A few things about Google: Xooglers

Okay, in all honesty it’s been a tad difficult to squeeze blogging into my routine. The end of the semester is nigh, and I am of course playing catch-up on papers and exams. My research travels have brought me a few interesting links about your friend and mine, Google. Enjoy:
Google has [...]

Thanks

As much as I gripe about the wrongs of our government and society, I’m infinitely thankful to live in a country that (for the time being, at least) allows me to voice my dissent.

Goodbye Accountability!

As if the Police State Act - er, Patriot Act wasn’t enough, there’s a bill headed to the Senate that would create a new executive branch agency that would be immune from the Freedom of Information Act. Doubtless all ‘hot’ information (read: outsourcing torture) would then be filtered through this agency, as opposed to [...]

News You Never See…

Those of you who have seen the excellent documentary Control Room know that this is no joke. There is a considerable ammount of evidence to suggest that al-Jazeera was a target during the initial invasion of 2003.
From Yahoo! News by way of the AFP:
Bush plotted to bomb al-Jazeera: report - Yahoo! News: “Tue Nov [...]

White Phosphorus Update: Pentagon - White Phosphorus is “Chemical Weapon”

This story has been vastly under-reported by the Old Media. The blogs are talking about it, however. This is from Scoop, an independent media website from New Zealand. The use of White Phosphorus is acknowledge by our own government as a chemical weapon. We used it in tactical strikes against Fallujah. [...]

Proof of the Liberal Media Bias! - DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2005 CNN MARKS CHENEY

This is quite odd. It appears that the blogosphere is all in a huff about this. Could this be proof that the Liberal Media is trying to subliminally brainwash unwitting Americas with filthy, filthy propaganda techniques?
Or, maybe the intern running the console was really stoned.
Damn I love the Drudge Report.

It’s this:
THE FUTURE IS INHERENTLY A GOOD THING,
and we move into it one winter at a time.”

No matter how big the idea is they [...]

Worse than Napalm: White Phosphorus

There is nothing more I can add to this. Our government has failed the world community:
BBC News
“White phosphorus: weapon on the edge AnalysisBy Paul Reynolds World Affairs correspondent, BBC News website
US mortar bombs can be both explosive and phosphorus
The Pentagon’s admission - despite earlier denials - that US troops used [...]
